2011 Repairs8/23/11The areas getting crack seal work done on Friday have been expanded to include sections of road all throughout PRRMA. We are once again requesting that homeowners PLEASE TURN OFF SPRINKLERS AND DO NOT PARK IN THE STREETS ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 26. Details of the crack sealing locations can be found by looking on the maps on the 2011 Scope of Work page. The crack seal areas that were in the original scope of work can be found in blue on the maps for each subdivision. The numerous areas that have been added are mostly to sections of road that had mill work done on them last year. The maps showing these additions are in orange on the "Crack seal additions" link on the Scope of Work page. Thank you again for your cooperation during this year's construction!Streets will be affected on Friday include: 8/22/11 -- pmIMPORTANT!!! Please turn off sprinklers along all of GLENGARRY, TROON, SOUTHWICK, STONEBRIDGE and WINDRIDGE and do not park on those streets on Friday, August 26. Al's asphalt will be completing paving work this week. There will be minor repairs during the week and all crack sealing will be done on Friday. Thank you for your cooperation throughout this summer's roadway and sidewalk repairs!!! 8/22/11 -- amThe main line paving will be completed today. Curb and "throw and roll" patching will get done this coming week. Neither of these items will have much if any impact on residents. 8/17/11 -- p.m.Below is a little more information on the proposed sequence. This
information is approximate, but gives a general idea of what they would like to
accomplish. This may very easily change, so please do not run curb-area
irrigation systems or park in the streets on any of the areas where work is
scheduled until it is complete.
8/17/11 -- a.m.Please do not park in the streets this week so that paving equipment can get through the subdivisions. Also, please remember to turn off irrigation systems if you are in an area where work is being done. Here is the latest from the paving company... We will start paving at 7AM tomorrow (Thursday, August 18) on Mornington. From there we will finish the work in that sub, then we will progress to Augusta & Muirfield and then Highlands. We will finish up in Pheasant View. I expect the paving to take (3-4) full days and I really can't say where we will be at any particular time or the street sequence, but my best guess it will take Thursday and Friday to get Fairways and Fairway Pines done, Fairway Pines may spill into Saturday and of course we will not make it to Pheasant View until Saturday. I wish I could be more definitive but there are a host of factors that will affect our productivity. I am basing this schedule on last year's production rate but it may be possible that we can move a bit faster this year due to the size of the areas and their proximity to one another. Hopefully this will be helpful, I will do my best to keep you updated as changes occur. The crack fill on Glengarry will not occur until next week. So, it is okay to continue watering on Glengarry until Monday. 8/16/11The milling has been completed in all areas, and Al's Asphalt is cleaning, sweeping, and prepping the areas for paving later this week. Please avoid driving in these areas if possible. Additionally, please do not park on the street or run your curb zone irrigation until the paving has been completed. Your cooperation is appreciated. You can check the "Scope of Work" page to see where the work will be taking place. The areas in red will be milled and paved. Homes that will be affected should receive a flyer from the paving company by the end of this week. Please do not park in the street during the week of August 15. It is very important that no one is parked on the streets where equipment needs to get through or work needs to be done. Also, please turn off irrigation systems. Finally, please also be courteous to the workers and do not attempt to drive around barricades. For the areas to be milled, here is a note from the engineer at Spalding DeDecker regarding what to expect:
You can help keep our costs (and your subdivision dues) under control.
Damaging or marking concrete which has not yet hardened 7/20/11To be certain that the best possible equipment and personnel are available for work in our subdivisions, there has been a schedule change. The current plan is that the milling and paving operation is scheduled to start on August 15. Please be sure to check back to this site for more details when they become available. It is expected that the work will take at least one week to complete. Work will begin in Fairways and Fairway Pines and finish in Pheasant View. To see if the street in front of your home will be affected, check the "Scope of Work" maps. It will be critical that people turn off sprinkler systems and that they do not park in the street near areas to be repaired.
